Brett Martin
Brett Martin currently serves as the Vice President of Community Impact for United Way of Kaw Valley. In his ninth year, he oversees the community impact work of the organization in Shawnee, Douglas, Jackson, and Jefferson counties. He currently serves as the Chair of LiveWell Shawnee County and serves on the Executive Committee for the Homeless Task Force. Over the past five years, he has worked to develop the Kansas Community Network; a coordinated care network of healthcare and community-based organizations designed to transform the system of care and improve health outcomes in our community. He also leads the newly formed Whole Family Coalition which includes more than 30 partners in Shawnee and Douglas counties. Since March of 2020, he has led the Tuesday Collaboration Call, a weekly virtual gathering of cross-sector organizations - public, private, and government – that come together to foster better communication, develop strategies, and find new ways to collaborate in the community.

Brett is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Political Science at Washburn University teaching Nonprofit Management and Leadership and is also an adjunct instructor for the Aleshire Center for Leadership and Community Engagement at the university.

He is a member of the Leadership Greater Topeka Class of 2020. He currently serves as chair for All Hands on Deck, the campaign to end chronic homelessness in Topeka and Shawnee County.
